Reconciliation Mission Offering Will Be Received This Fall

July 28, 2006 - Disciples News Service

Reconciliation Mission (RM) continues as an important ministry of the church, despite cutbacks in staffing and funding challenges. That was the message that members of the General Board heard in Indianapolis about Reconciliation Mission, the church's ministry of racial justice. The special offering that supports Reconciliation Mission will be received this fall, although promotion will be scaled back to be more in line with reduced resources.

Reconciliation Mission's co-chairs, David Bell and Sandhya Jha, submitted a letter to General Board as part of RM's report that outlines challenges, opportunities and forward movement for the ministry. To read their letter, go to: www.disciples.org/dns/Releases2006/0695.pdf (Adobe PDF)
